The goal of Educational Psychology at WSU is to train professionals who possess strong research skills, expertise in research topics, ability to develop research programs, effective communication and collaboration with diverse professionals, and the ability to navigate complexity and ambiguity in the workplace.

Educational technology explores the use of different technologies to enhance student learning. Instructional design focuses on creating effective learning materials. Special education supports students who require specialized instruction. Curriculum development involves designing coursework that optimizes learning. Organizational learning examines how people learn in workplace settings. Gifted learners receive assistance to nurture their talents and abilities.
