Difference between ADS and ADHD :
Autism spectrum disorders are a series of related developmental disorders that can affect language skills, behavior, socializing, and the ability to learn. ADHD is a common condition that can impact how well you concentrate, stay still, or think before you act.
Causes :
Researchers are still in the process of figuring out what causes autism and ADHD. There is no doubt that both ADHD and autism are heritable, meaning that they run in families. That means there is a genetic component to both disorders. There are also some environmental issues that can lead to autism, ADHD, or both.
Symptoms :
-ADHD and autism
-hyperactivity & impulsivity.
-being abnormally active, and acting without thinking.
-being unable to sit still, or constantly fidgeting.
difficulty focusing.
-having a short attention span.
difficulty concentrating.
Treatment :
In current practice, there is no curative treatment for autism, but the recommended treatment involves various therapies which include applied behavioral analysis, speech therapy, and sensory integration therapy. Medications have been used for behavioral symptoms.
Behavioral therapy is also often used as a tool for helping with ASD, too. Medication may also be prescribed to treat symptoms. In people who have been diagnosed with both ASD and ADHD, medication prescribed for symptoms of ADHD may also help some symptoms of ASD.
