Resonance means the air flow for speech through the nasal cavity and oral cavity.during speech the air flow should be clear through oral except the m,n, speech sounds.
Causes:- cleft palate
Cleft lip and palate
Apraxia of speech
Speech language pathologist will diagnose the resonance disorder
.
There are 3 types of resonance disorders.
1.Hyponasality
2.Hyper nasality
3.Cul-de-sac resonance.
CIt can be treated through surgery by the ENT doctors
and speech language pathologist will do the treatment .
