Children may have an obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) when unwanted thoughts, and the behaviors they feel they must do because of the thoughts, happen frequently, take up a lot of time (more than an hour a day), interfere with their activities, or make them very upset. The thoughts are called obsessions.Children do these behaviors because they have the feeling that the behaviors will prevent bad things from happening or will make them feel better. However, the behavior is not typically connected to actual danger of something bad happening, or the behavior is extreme, such as washing hands multiple times per hour.

MILLER FISHER SYNDROME:

DEFINITION:

It is the one of the rare form of the disorder which is the spectrum of the GULLAIN BARRE SYNDROME (GBS)

It is the neurological disorder which causes the mild to severe MUSCLE WEAKNESS

CAUSES:

It is caused to the immune system,the immune system reacts to the certain proteins in our nerves which are responsible for the movement,sensation and function.

SYMPTOMS:

1.Paralysis of eye muscles

2.Lack of reflexes in tendons

3.Abnormal muscle coordination

4.Respiratory problems

5.Weak muscles

6.Tongue weakness

7.Swallowing problems

8.Balance problems

TREATMENT:

1.Adequate supportive care

2.Intravenous immunoglobulin therapy

Introduction of voice disorders:

Aronson and Bless in 2009 describe that voice disorder occurs when voice quality, pitch and loudness differ or in appropriate individual's age, gender, culture background, or geographic location. A voice disorder individual has an abnormal voice that doesn't meet daily needs even If others do not perceive it is different or deviant. These problems occur when the vocal cords do not vibrate normally. The voice is the sound that air makes when it is forced out of our lungs and passes over our vocal cords. Vocal cords are the 2 folds of tissue inside our larynx, also called the voice box. The vibration of those cards is what produced speech.

Children with autism, smile to show they're happy but don't share their enjoyment. Others show little facial expression or have flat affect and rarely smile so you may not know when they're happy.
There are four basic attachment styles displayed by children: Secure, avoidant, ambivalent, and disorganized.
-Secure attachment style- Children who are securely attached are generally happy and trusting.
- Avoidant attachment style- Children with an avoidant attachment style may be emotionally distant, often preferring to play and interact with objects rather than people.
- Ambivalent attachment style- An ambivalent style in childhood is characterized by high levels of anxiety and insecurity.
- Disorganized attachment style- Children with a disorganized attachment style often seem to struggle with managing their emotions.

Dysgraphia is a learning disability that affects the ability to write. Difficulty in writing can manifest as poor handwriting and difficulty putting thoughts into writing. It is not enough to say that a student has dysgraphia, as writing requires motor skills and information processing. Students with disabilities will benefit from specialized services in the learning environment and have more practice learning the skills needed to become successful writers. Dyscalculia is an important but small part of learning math.

A group of students, representing approximately 3-7% of school-age children, have problems with dyscalculia. They encounter problems with comparing numbers, symbols, and thoughts. This article discusses the characteristics of dyscalculia and ways to overcome it. This article describes problems with learning math due to dyscalculia. It also explains the concept and meaning of dyscalculia, the types and causes of dyscalculia, the difficulties in mathematics for children with dyscalculia, and the effect of dyscalculia on mathematics learning.

Finally, it also suggests effective ways to convey math concepts in the classroom and ways to support students with dyscalculia.

What is trouble swallowing?.

Dysphagia is a swallowing disease for liquid and solids.
It may be painful sometimes it may be impossible to swallow.
It can occur in any age.
It usually comes in adult age.
The causes of swallowing problem may vary and treatment depends upon the cause.
Signs and symptoms are pain while swallowing.
Inability to swallow.
